These Owners Crossed the Digital Divide (and Expect to Find You There)

If your goal is to attract the next generation of founders to your firm, new research shows you’ll need to master digital channels.

New analysis from Value Builder Analytics, drawn from business owners who completed their Value Builder Score Report, shows just how digitally fluent the millennial generation is. Nearly one in three millennial owners have built opted-in audiences of up to 10,000 people through email, social media, or other digital channels. Compare that to boomers, where a quarter report having no digital audience at all, and the generational divide becomes clear. 

If you want to engage millennial owners, you need to show up where they are with a strong, credible digital footprint. Just as owners rely on digital channels to reach their customers, they now expect their advisors to meet them in those same channels. It doesn’t have to be polished or complex, but it does need to prove your relevance before they ever consider starting a conversation.
